The England international has once again struggled for form, and after being hooked at half-time in the 3-1 defeat to Arsenal last weekend, it appears Nuno has finally lost his patience with the attacking midfielder.
The 25-year-old had previously started all six of Spurs’ games in the Premier League, and the substitution last week at the break was actually the first time that he had missed a single minute.
Today’s clash against Villa feels like a big one, especially with the international break coming up, and Nuno will be desperately hoping for a better outcome.
