Roberts would have liked to have seen someone like Milner added to the Spurs ranks this summer also, telling This is Futbol: “We still need for me, I don’t know if it would have been good or not but maybe we should have gone and got somebody like James Milner, bit of experience.
“When you’re under the cosh, he can come on and settle people down. We don’t seem to have that sort of player. We don’t have a leader in there who can come on and do that or can do it from the start.”

After the transfer window closed at the end of August, every club’s sole focus has been getting off to the best possible start in their campaigns, with Spurs making a decent start to their Premier League season, collecting 12 points from their opening seven matches.
Spurs beat Aston Villa in the final match prior to the international break and when club football returns you would imagine that everybody connected with Tottenham Hotspur will be hoping that they can put a good run of form together and be challenging for a place in the top four come the end of the current campaign.
