Former Tottenham Hotspur player Graham Roberts thinks you can see a little more togetherness in the Spurs team now.

After finishing seventh in the previous campaign, Tottenham moved to appoint former Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo as their manager during the summer.

The summer transfer window saw a lot of activity at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium, on both incomings and outgoings, as Cristian Romero, Pierluigi Gollini, Bryan Gil, Pape Matar Sarr and Emerson Royal all arriving and the likes of Danny Rose, Erik Lamela, Moussa Sissoko and Joe Hart departing the club.

Do you think theres more of a togetherness now at Spurs?

Yes

Yes

No

No

Whilst it normally takes a new manager sometime to bed in and get his ideas across to their squad, Espirito Santo hit the ground running straight away, as Spurs opened up the new campaign with three straight victories in the Premier League.

Their form wobbled after that though as they then suffered three straight defeats including to arch-rivals Arsenal, before making it back-to-back victories in previous matches against Aston Villa and Newcastle United ahed of the trip to West Ham, and Roberts thinks the squad is a little more together now.

“I think you see a little bit more togetherness in the team now and I suppose all the players have been away they’ve come back, you’ve got to think about the lads that have travelled from South America, you know, Nuno has not had an easy job really,” he told This is Futbol.

As well as a few successful results in the Premier League, Spurs have also progressed to the next round of the Carabao Cup after defeating Espirito Santo’s former club Wolves 3-2 on penalties after drawing 2-2 in the actual match.
