Former Tottenham Hotspur player Graham Roberts believes that Spurs could go back in for Wolves player Adama Traore.

Telegraph journalist Matt Law reported during the summer that Spurs were looking to bring Traore to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in a possible loan deal with a view to a permanent £40m move, but Traore remained at Molineux beyond the August 31 deadline.

Do you think Traore will sign for Spurs in January?

During his time with Wolves, £27m-rated Traore has scored ten goals and registered 18 assists in all competitions and Roberts believes that Nuno Espirito Santo could have another go at bringing Traore to Tottenham in the future.

“Traore, maybe they go back in and you know I think it’s the only one that Nuno wanted wasn’t it, so we have to wait and see. If he comes in either Moura or Bergwijn will go. They won’t bring another one in without releasing one of them,” Roberts told TIF.

Traore is naturally a right-winger and has featured predominantly there throughout his career, having made over 200 appearances in that role, but has also featured on the opposite wing and as a centre-forward, second striker and attacking midfielder, showing versatility.

Whilst not landing Traore during the summer, Nuno did make five signings as Cristian Romero, Pierluigi Gollini, Bryan Gil, Pape Matar Sarr and Emerson Royal all put pen-to-paper on deals with Spurs.
