A whole host of Tottenham Hotspur fans have flocked to Twitter following this latest stat comparing Nuno Espirito Santo as manager to Ryan Mason.

Nuno was the man handed the reins over the summer to guide Spurs back to the right end of the table after only managing to qualify for the Europa Conference League last season under Jose Mourinho and then finally Mason.

Who would be a better manager for Spurs?

Nuno!

Nuno!

Mason!

Mason!

The former Spurs midfielder was put in charge on an interim basis until the end of the season just before the club’s cup final clash against Manchester City and following a comparison between Mason’s last 6 league matches in charge and Nuno’s last six, some fans may be warming to the idea of their academy graduate becoming the main man once again.

A lot of Spurs fans on Twitter have reacted positively to this latest stat.

What have these Tottenham fans been saying?

“BRING HIM BACK”

@N17_James

“We actually downgraded from Ryan Mason”

@THFCJ17

“Give it Mason til the summer”

@yeahwepain

“Misunderstood genius”

@thfcnathann

“At this point I would take him back with open arms, anything to get rid of this Portuguese fraud”

@torstein_thfc

“Mason is not the long term solution. But I’d sack Nuno and appointment Mason immediately”

@watson_THFC

“Omds bring him back”

@Ay7evn

“Bring back mason ball”

@kepaww_

From the stats provided, it would appear to not be an awful idea to install Mason as manager once again, maybe until the end of the season as Spurs had a higher XG, win rate and also had a lower XGA than they are experiencing lately under Nuno.

Whatever Daniel Levy and Spurs decide to do, it appears that the long term future does not have Nuno in mind given the Portuguese manager only signed a two-year deal in the summer and has reportedly been fighting to save his job since the defeat against Arsenal.
