A whole host of Tottenham Hotspur fans are furious on Twitter following the emergence of Dele Alli’s Instagram story.

Alli was a bright youngster when he arrived in north London back in 2015 from MK Dons and his first two seasons as a Premier League player saw him return 28 goals and 16 assists, but he has not been able to keep up those types of numbers ever since.

Should Spurs sell Alli?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

In particular, the last 12 months have been difficult for Alli, having been handed just 13 starts under three different managers and most recently was left on the bench for Spurs’ defeat away to West Ham, but following that defeat he has shown his Instagram followers that he’s still in the gym working out, although some fans have not reacted positively to this post.

A lot of Spurs fans are very angry on Twitter with Alli’s latest post.

What have these Tottenham fans been saying?

The way he’s smiling he’s trolling us”

@BinDerDunnDatt

“Please stop”

@THFCMikey

`”oh nah this has fully rattled me”

@hmson7i

“Deli please hand in a transfer request”

@tottenham_away

“Finished player”

@ThfcCaleb

“he’s dusted now”

@johnathancoys

It’s been a swift fall from grace for Alli who was not even called up into Gareth Southgate’s England Euro 2020 squad over the summer and that could be down to the fact that he hasn’t scored a league goal from open play since the 2019/20 season.

If his form continues like this, then the player and Spurs may look to part ways in January or next summer, with Newcastle United reportedly holding an interest in the midfielder, just like they did when he was at MK Dons.
