A whole host of Newcastle United fans are furious on Twitter with Steve Bruce’s post-match comments.

In what was Bruce’s 1,000th game as a manager, it was a miserable one for the boss and Newcastle fans, who watched on as Tottenham Hotspur put three past them, the most they’ve scored in a single league match this season.

Have you been impressed with Newcastle this season?

Yes

Yes

No

No

It was perceived as a new dawn for Newcastle with the likes of Amanda Staveley and Jamie Reuben taking in their first game as custodians of the club alongside new chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan, but they will not have been left impressed by what unfolded on the pitch.

After a ninth game of the season without winning, Bruce addressed the club’s media claiming that Newcastle have ‘been in this position for a few years now‘, something that doesn’t line up with the ambitious plans the new owners have for the club.

A lot of Newcastle fans are very angry on Twitter with Bruce’s comments.

What have these Newcastle fans been saying?

“This is arguably the worst of the lot. Got money to spend in January yet he still resigns to the fact all he is trying to do is stay up. OUT.”

@HowayLadsNUFC

“Pathetic”

@joshmwrestleing

Is this some kind of joke a Bruce interview??!!! Really How the hell is he still here!!!! BRUCE OUT!!”

@BROWEA

“He already knows he’s done… “They’re going to have to as a group” rather than “we””

@garyetchells

“Get rid of him now! Not tomorrow, not next week, now!!! We have no hope of staying up with him in charge. Money won’t save us in January”

@Thenewmatthew

“well that’s the bubble burst. Utter embarrassment…again.”

@midland_mags

“Been in this position as he’s absolutely hopeless.. get him gone”

@LeonOsman17

The Magpies are struggling massively, none more so than at the back as they currently boast the worst defensive record in the league having conceded 19 goals, while also shipping three goals in a match on three separate occasions already.
