A number of Newcastle United fans have reacted with excitement after Santiago Munoz shared images of himself on social media with the caption, ‘The dream begins’.
The Mexican striker signed from Santos Laguna on an 18-month loan deal this August and comes with an option to buy. However, he is still yet to make any kind of appearance for his new club.
The post, which was shared on Twitter, seemingly signifies that he could finally be seen on the pitch in a Newcastle shirt in the near future.

Considering the club’s start to the season – which has seen them fail to win a single league game after six matches – it’s easy to understand why these supporters are so keen for a new striker to get a chance.
Even though Steve Bruce’s men have at least managed to score seven goals so far, they haven’t yet shown enough quality in their finishing to win games.
Perhaps their new man from Mexico can be some kind of antidote to that issue.
