Lots of Newcastle United fans have flooded to Twitter to share their thoughts at the latest tweet to emerge from their CAT hearing on Wednesday.

According to the Competition Appeal Tribunal Twitter account, Wednesday’s live stream of the hearing between St James Holdings Ltd and the Premier League received around 33,000 views throughout the day.

Do you think the Saudi takeover happen?

This news comes following the Premier League’s reported desire to have the hearing held in private with Mike Ashley and his camp protesting the case was of public interest.

Newcastle’s Carabao Cup clash at St. James’ Park last month saw 30,082 fans attend the game which puts into perspective the interest in the Magpie’s hearing.

Toon fans flocked to the tweet to share their frustrations towards the Premier League after their reported hopes of having the case blocked from being live-streamed for fans to watch.

What did these fans have to say?

“We Are Massive”

“Wow take a bow”
This is amazing! 33000 viewers of the jurisdiction court stream across 50 counties. It will massively play in #nufc favour. Its the last thing the premier League wanted. Global publicity of their seedy ways!”
“That’s insane, just shows that this is massive public interest and it needs to be looked into further.”
This proves it all needs to be played out in the public. No more secrecy from the@premierleague
. What dirt will we uncover from Masters and Hoffman and the clubs involved in lobbying against the takeover. Must be a record for a CAT”

Fans will now turn their attention back to Premier League action on the field as they travel to Molineux in search of their first win of the season against Bruno Lage’s Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Although matters on the have got off to a difficult start, it seems this development from Wednesday’s CAT hearing has brightened the mood among these Toon fans.
