A whole host of Newcastle United fans are ecstatic on Twitter following George Caulkin’s latest takeover update.

Considering how disappointing and poor this season has started for Newcastle, with zero wins from their opening eight games in all competitions, the mood has swiftly changed on Tyneside to one of delight and ecstasy given how close a takeover reportedly is to completion.

Will Newcastle have new owners next season?

Transfer windows of only signing one player may be a thing of the past for Newcastle fans, as The Athletic’s Caulkin has claimed that PCP Capital Partners’ takeover of the club has now been signed off by the Premier and that fans are now just waiting on an official announcement.

A lot of Newcastle fans are delighted on Twitter with Caulkin’s takeover update.

What have these Newcastle fans been saying?

“George you little dancer too!!!!”

“Could honestly cry…”

“Yessssssssss. Get in man, get in. This is just class. Cheers for keeping it all real with it all”

“OH. MY. GOD. @dave_a_morris it’s looking like a night on the lash!!!”

“This is HUGE! We’re getting our club back, it’s been 14 years!”

“Am I dreaming ? Somebody pinch me.”

“Biggest day of our history”

Mike Ashley’s lawyers only faced off against the Premier League in a court case last week about this very takeover, so it’s safe to say that these kinds of strides being made has taken a lot of Newcastle fans by surprise.

The Telegraph has pointed out that Newcastle’s official Twitter account has not tweeted anything since 12:03pm on Wednesday and they expect their next post to be confirming that the takeover has been passed through and confirmed.
