Former Premier League striker Dean Windass doesn’t believe the new Newcastle owners will go for Rafa Benitez.

The Spaniard took charge of fellow Premier League side Everton this summer and has made a terrific start to the campaign with them and despite being linked with the Newcastle job again, the Telegraph claims Benitez does not want to walk out on the Toffees.

Benitez was appointed manager of the Magpies in 2016 and took charge of 146 matches during his time with the club.

After relegation from the top flight in the 2015/2016 season, Benitez guided Newcastle back into the Premier League at the first time of asking and led them to a 10th and 13th place top flight finish in the subsequent seasons.
