A whole host of Leeds United fans have erupted on Twitter following Marcelo Bielsa’s latest comments.

This could perhaps be seen as the most difficult and negative time of Bielsa’s tenure as Leeds manager, with the club just one place above the relegation zone after eight games and having also just won a single league match.

Should Leeds sack Bielsa?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

This very poor form has coincided with injuries to key players such as Luke Ayling, Patrick Bamford and Diego Llorente, but Bielsa is not shying away from the bad results and has sent a rallying call to his players, which included the line: ‘Commitment and not indifference, responsibility and not passing over your responsibilities, hope and faith before disappointment,’ which has worried a lot of Leeds fans.

A lot of Leeds fans are very angry on Twitter with these comments by Bielsa.

What have these Leeds fans been saying?

“a coach saying that means one thing only….he lost the players as they are basically ignoring him!!!”

@alfredb15

‘a lot of talking from a man who’ll start roberts”

@murderbalI

“In other words, he’s lost the dressing room.”

@fuffoon

“He’s taking us down”

@stevo_so

“Is this really what we’ve resorted to”

@Shortieyates04

“Hope and faith sounds ominous”

@nickmooring

“He’s on his last legs here I think”

@mou19645

Given what Bielsa has achieved during his time at Elland Road, that may well buy him some extra time in the hotseat despite some dire results. After all, he did get the Whites back into the Premier League and guide them to a ninth-place finish last season.

Something that should give Leeds a much-needed boost after their defeat to Southampton last weekend is that Brazilian winger Raphinha is back and fit enough to play after missing out against the Saints having only just returned from international duty.
