Plenty of Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to lambast Dan James for a poor performance against Wolves in the Premier League on Saturday.

The Whites were starring down the barrel of a fifth defeat of their Premier League campaign against Wolves at Elland Road on Saturday after Hwang Hee-chan’s 10th minute goal for Bruno Lage’s side in the first half. However, Marcelo Bielsa’s side managed to equalise in the 93rd minute through a Rodrigo penalty.

The excellent Joe Gelhardt, brought on as a second half substitute for Mateusz Klich by Bielsa, weaved his way into the box, beating multiple men in the process to win the vital penalty which Rodrigo scored.

However, many Whites fans took to social media to have their say on the performance of winger Dan James, with the former Swansea City and Manchester United singled out for notable scrutiny.

What have some Leeds fans been saying?

“Did James play yesterday?”

@LufcRudi

“Add Dan James to that. Anonymous”

@HowieBellaFonte

“Would love an apology for every Leeds fan who gave me abuse for saying we’d go down and Dan James is a waste of money, am I wrong? Course I’m not”

@JoshBarkes1206

Plenty of effort, not enough quality. Dan James has been completely anonymous since he signed, between him, rodrigo and Harrison we have 3 attacking players that look totally out of it

@robhlufc

“My point is, 1 million vs 25 million when Dan James has proven almost nothing to suggest he’s worth that price tag. Even if it wasn’t Gray, the business has been terrible aside from a few hits

@deadhairlineee

“Dan James is a passenger this game. Stuck up front for most of it, 5 foot 7 and upfront”

@wayneleedsfan

“No he won’t. We’ve signed a Championship standard player.”

The draw means the Yorkshire side remain 17th in the table, and will be looking to return to winning ways when they visit the league’s bottom side Norwich City, hammered earlier today 7-0 by Chelsea, next Sunday afternoon at Carrow Road as Bielsa’s side will look to secure a crucial victory and really reignite their season.
