Lots of Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to slam Rodrigo’s display against Southampton in the Premier League.
The Spanish international, looking to impress Marcelo Bielsa in the starting XI in the absence of the injured Patrick Bamford, has had a wretched start to the top-flight campaign thus far, scoring no goals in the six appearances he had made in the competition prior to today’s clash.
With Bielsa’s side fortunate to go into the interval level with Southampton following an extremely poor first half display, Rodrigo didn’t look at the races once again.

Especially given the absence of star striker Bamford, Rodrigo has yet to display why he should be a first choice fixture in Bielsa first choice XI. Whether he’s just taken his eye off the ball, or whether Bielsa’s tactics have yet to really bring the best out of him, the striker simply hasn’t been anywhere near his best.
