A number of Leeds United fans have expressed their concerns after manager Marcelo Bielsa described an injury to Robin Koch as ‘rebellious’.

The defender has not played for his side since the opening day’s 5-1 thrashing against Manchester United, and clarity has been lacking over his expected return date.

The Leeds manager has done very little to ease concerns of his club’s supporters with his comments made during a recent press conference.

As quoted by The Athletic’s Phil Hay on Twitter, Bielsa described Koch’s injury as ‘rebellious’, before saying: “It can last a short period of time or a long period of time.”

The news apparently did not seem to go down well with many concerned supporters.

Here’s what these Leeds fans said…

“Perpetual is the word Phil.”

“My god, it’s Forshaw all over again.”
“Will be a long period.”
“New Forshaw.”
“Forshawitis.”
“Will be out till after Xmas I bet….”
“I look forward to Koch being fit again for next season.”

It seems that these fans are fearing their club could have another Adam Forshaw situation on their hands.

The Leeds midfielder missed nearly two years of football due to various fitness issues before at last making his senior return in the Carabao Cup earlier this season.

Do you think Robin Koch will miss a lot of football this season?

Yes

Yes

No

No

It would take an awful slice of luck for Koch to miss anything close to that, but Bielsa’s lack of clarity certainly has not calmed the nerves of these supporters.
