Plenty of Leeds United fans have reacted with excitement after youngster Lewis Bate scored for England Under-20s in their recent friendly. 

The Leeds starlet scored a goal as his country had to settle for a 1-1 draw with Italy. Daniel Maldini put Italy ahead after 34 minutes of play, but Bate grabbed England’s equaliser before half time.

Marcelo Bielsa reportedly watched on from the sidelines, while other young prospects Sam Greenwood and Cody Drameh also started the match.

The official Leeds United Twitter account shared the pictures of Bate celebrating his goal and it didn’t take long before the club’s supporters were expressing their delight.
