Express & Star journalist Luke Hatfield believes that Wolves will be busy in the January transfer window.

After Nuno Espirito Santo departed the club at the end of last season, the club hierarchy appointed Bruno Lage as the club’s new first-team head coach.

The club’s board tried to back the new man at the helm in the summer transfer window with six new signings, as Hee-chan Hwang, Jose Sa, Rayan Ait-Nouri, Yerson Mosquera, Louie Moulden and Francisco Trincao all signed deals at Molineux.

Whilst there were a number of new players that arrived at Wolves, Hatfield expects January to be a busy month for the club after recently missing out on a couple of targets.

“In January, I’m sure they’ll be busy. You know they’ve missed out on a couple of signings late in the window in the summer and I’m sure they’ll probably revisit the market because if they do lose a couple more players to injury or players do head out on internationals, then its already a threadbare squad and it could be one that’s even tighter,” Hatfield told This is Futbol.

Wolves have collected nine points from their opening seven Premier League fixtures. After a tough start which saw them lose their opening three games 1-0, the club have won three of their last four and entered the international break in 12th place in the table.

One of the new signings Hwang Hee-chan has hit the ground running and helped propel Wolves up the table, as the centre-forward has scored three goals in four Premier League appearances.
