Patrick Vieira knows where he wants to go with Crystal Palace, says former Eagles striker Marcus Bent.

Vieira arrived at Selhurst Park back in July to replace Roy Hodgson as manager and has made a decent start to life in SE25.

Palace were able to claw their way back from 2-0 down against Leicester City last time out thanks to goals from Michael Olise and Jeffrey Schlupp, while they were able to beat Tottenham 3-0 last month in another game that showed their attacking prowess.

This offensive style and strategy under Vieira has not gone under the radar, with Evening Standard journalist Jack Rosser recently highlighting it, while Bent is convinced that the Frenchman has a plan for Palace overall.

“I think they’ve obviously had a discussion about where they want to go moving forward,” the ex-Palace striker said to TIF. “Vieira was a good player, an experienced player. We can’t say he’s a good manager just yet.

“But what we will say is that he knows football and making those signings, he obviously knows where he wants to go, where he wants to go moving forward.”

One of those new signings includes Conor Gallagher, who has been exceptional since joining on loan from Chelsea.

The 21-year-old has been heavily involved this season, scoring two goals and providing one assist in six Premier League games.
