Express & Star journalist Luke Hatfield believes that Karlan Grant has been fantastic for West Bromwich Albion.

The 24-year-old opened his goalscoring account for West Brom against Luton Town in August and then provided two assists in the Baggies’ following two matches against Sheffield United and Blackburn Rovers.

Recently Grant has hit another little bit of form as he scored three goals in two games, grabbing a brace against Queens Park Rangers and then scoring in the 4-0 hammering of Cardiff City which took his total to four goals and two assists in eleven Championship fixtures.

His work rate has also been impressive, with manager Valerien Ismael pleased with the effort he has put in so far this season.

Overall, Hatfield believes that Grant has been fantastic for West Brom, telling This is Futbol: “Grant in particular has been fantastic. I mean the form he’s showed over the past few games, he’s shown that he’s right up there in terms of confidence now. The goal he scored against Cardiff, I think it was obviously outshone a little bit by Alex Mowatt but it was a really good strike.

“There’s signs there of a player who not only knows where the net is but is now confident enough to take on opportunities which he might not have at the start of the season.”

West Brom have been in fantastic form under manager Ismael as in their opening 11 Championship fixtures of the season, they have won six, drawn four and lost only one which came in the club’s last outing against Stoke City.

With their form, Albion sit second in the league, three points behind leaders Bournemouth and are third top goal scorers after finding the back of the net on 20 occasions, with only Fulham and Queens Park Rangers having scored more than them.
