A number of Queens Park Rangers fans have expressed their delight after it was revealed that the club had received overwhelming support in favour of the introduction of rail seating.
Rail seating, or safe standing, allows fans to rest on a metal bar in front of them instead of having to have a seat. The club’s official website released a statement that explained how 88.01% of 3,212 respondents – spoken to between February 2020 and October 2021 – agreed that rail seating would improve the atmosphere at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.
It also added that, in particular, 74.13% of respondents felt that the Lower Loft would be the area of the stadium to benefit most from the change.
The news was shared by the QPR Twitter page and it went down pretty well with a number of happy supporters.
Here’s what these QPR fans said…
“I’d love for the whole lower loft to be safe standing, that would be unreal.”
It’s clear to see just how in favour all these QPR fans are with the results shared on their website. Not only do they have this to be happy about, but their form is pretty decent, too.
Do you want safe standing at QPR?
Indeed, after 11 games in the Championship, the R’s sit in sixth spot in the league on 18 points. Who knows, perhaps they could push for promotion this season.
