A lot of Derby County fans have taken to Twitter to voice their delight at Liam Rosenior’s latest interview ahead of this weekend’s Championship clash against Swansea City.
The Rams earned three valuable points on Wednesday against Reading in a narrow 1-0 victory which saw Wayne Rooney’s side pull themselves out of negative points.
Can Derby beat the drop?
Yes
No
Speaking ahead of the home clash against the Swans, Rosenior said: “Everybody in the city knows what we’re representing is bigger than just three points.”
Derby were handed a huge 12-point deduction after the club was placed into administration just last week, which dragged Rooney’s side down to the bottom of the league on -2 points.
Fans flocked to a tweet from BBC Sport Derby relaying footage of Rosenior’s interview as they shared their thoughts on what the assistant manager had to say.
What did these fans have to say?
“Listen to this, brilliant”
Despite being hit with the points deduction, the Rams sit just seven points from safety along with a far superior goal difference on Barnsley, who currently find themselves struggling in 21st place after last season’s play-off run.
Ahead of their huge clash against a struggling Swansea side, it seems Rosenior’s pre-match press conference has certainly boosted the mood of these fans.
