A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have flocked to an announcement from the official club Twitter account relaying some information ahead of October’s international break.

It was confirmed on Monday both Giovani Lo Celso and Cristian Romero had been selected by Argentina to represent their country in next month’s World Cup qualifiers.

Should Spurs ban the pair from going?

The news comes just a matter of weeks after Spurs were forced to play without their Argentine duo as a result of their 10-day quarantine following the previous World Cup qualifiers.

Both Lo Celso and Romero were legally required to undergo a 10-day quarantine period before returning to the United Kingdom which meant both missed the defeat to Crystal Palace and draw against Rennes.

Expectedly, the news of their call ups came as frustrating news to these Spurs fans who flooded to the club’s tweet to vent their annoyance.

What did these Spurs fans have to say?

“We do not learn do we??”

“Here we go again”
“It literally never ends.”
“Oh lord here we go again”
“That’s all we need right now lol”
“You do realise that’s nothing to do with Spurs & the absolute shambolic returns we’ve seen since their purchases?”
“Not news fans want to hear. They can’t be relied upon for their club when they are needed.”

It has been reported the 10-day quarantine period could be relaxed by the British government which would see the players only have to undergo a five-day quarantine.

Although, the pair (Lo Celso & Romero) have only made a combined five appearances in the league this season, and there is clear concern among these fans they could miss even more time as a result of their call-ups.
