A lot of frustrated Tottenham Hotspur fans have flocked to Twitter to share their thoughts at a post to emerge from their former right-back, Serge Aurier.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side were beaten emphatically on Sunday against their rivals Arsenal as Mikel Arteta’s side ran out 3-1 victors.

Were Spurs right to terminate Aurier's deal?

At half time, Spurs found themselves 3-0 down after a first-half onslaught from the Gunners, which saw Aurier take to Instagram to post a story simply stating “wow”.

The Ivorian defender departed the Lilywhites this summer as the two parties agreed to part company and terminate his contract, however, these fans were clearly not in agreement with his departure.

What did these Spurs fans say?

“He knew. He saw this coming. Smart man to leave when he did”

“Nuno has done him dirty”

“Man knows and left early, we decided not to sign Tomiyasu but the Barca’s reject. Paratici cooking, right?”

“He saw it coming and force himself out of the club. That is telling how bad he wanted out of the club. He must know something we don’t.”
“This club mistreated him.”
“Better than Tanganga”

Aurier made 110 appearances for the Lilywhites across all competitions, but Daniel Levy was unable to find a buyer for the Ivorian, who had one year remaining on his deal with the north Londoners.

Japhet Tanganga started for Spurs at right-back, but was hooked off at half time and replaced by summer signing Emerson Royal, which seems to have left these fans frustrated with Aurier’s departure.
