In the 15th minute of the game, Neil received the ball from about 25 yards out. He chopped it back onto his left foot, which afforded him the space to fire a shot a goal. The superb effort flew into the back of the net, giving his team the first strike of the game.

The official Sunderland Twitter account shared footage of the moment on their page and it soon attracted a number of comments from their supporters.
