A number of Celtic fans have reacted with delight after Kyogo Furuhashi shared a fitness update online. 

The Japanese international is currently out injured having suffered a knee injury while playing in a recent World Cup qualifying match against China.

The injury, sustained at the beginning of September, is supposed to keep Kyogo out for up to a month, though manager Ange Postecoglou always maintained that the 26-year-old is ‘optimistic about working hard to get back’.

It looks as if that hard work may have paid off as the 26-year-old shared an image of himself on Twitter with the caption ‘Looking forward’ which accompanied an emoji to suggest he would be back ‘soon’.

Despite the somewhat vague post, a collection of Celtic supporters were nevertheless extremely excited by the update:

Kyogo has made an instant impact since signing for the club this summer having previously played with Vissel Kobe. His first nine appearances for the Scottish club have yielded seven goals, making him an instant hit for his new side. No doubt, these fans want him fit and playing again as soon as possible.
