A whole host of Sunderland fans are buzzing on Twitter with the latest video to surface of Lee Johnson.

It has been an extremely pleasant start to the season for the Black Cats who sit inside the automatic promotion spots in League One and have only lost one game in the competition thus far and alongside this, they are now into the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.

The Black Cats entered the competition in the first round and had previously beaten Port Vale and Blackpool, which set up a third consecutive away tie in the Carabao Cup against fellow League One rivals Wigan Athletic, who they dismantled 2-0 as manager Johnson fist-pumped towards the travelling Sunderland fans after the match, much to their delight.

Many Sunderland fans are buzzing on Twitter after the footage was shared online.

This is currently Sunderland’s fourth consecutive season in England’s third tier, and after losing Charlie Wyke and Max Power on free transfers over the summer, there may have been some scepticism over what could happen this campaign, but following just one defeat in the league, things may be looking up.

An easy one to kick off our quiz on the 2020 summer transfer window in the EFL, which player left Birmingham City to join Borussia Dortmund?

The victory away to Wigan will be a massive one for Sunderland, Johnson and the players as Wigan are currently just above them in the league on goal difference, and the Black Cats may feel they have the edge over them having already beaten them twice this term, after securing a 2-1 victory on the opening day of the season.
