Sheffield Wednesday fans have been reacting to footage of Callum Paterson following their win over Wigan Athletic in League One.
The 26-year-old, who has become renowned for his ability to play pretty much anywhere on the pitch, signed for the Owls in the summer window of 2020.
He had a pretty impressive first season at the club, scoring nine goals in all competitions, although it wasn’t enough to keep the club up, as they were ultimately relegated on the final day of the season.
Having started off the season slowly by not being what you would call a regular in the starting line-up, he finally got his first goal of the campaign – and it was certainly worth the wait, as he bagged what would turn out to be the winner at the DW Stadium, driving a left-footed first-time shot past Ben Amos in the Wigan net.
The club posted footage of the goal online for fans to react to, and it’s fair to say they really enjoyed being able to watch it again:
“Tasty”
Are you confident that Wednesday will get promoted this season?
Yes
No
Hopefully it will be the first of many for him this season, but whether or not he’ll score a better one this season, we’ll just have to wait and see.
