Sheffield Wednesday fans have been reacting to the performance of goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell following their victory over Wigan Athletic in League One.

Darren Moore’s men picked up three points at the DW Stadium last night thanks to an own goal from the Max Power and the Owls’ Callum Paterson, but the 24-year-old played his part in proceedings, too.

The Northern Irishman made four saves on the night to help keep a Wigan Athletic team that have made a good start to the season at bay.

Peacock-Farrell has already made an impressive start to life at Hillsborough, picking up the club’s Player of the Month award for August and having kept five clean sheets so far this season.

So when the club’s Twitter account put out this photo of him celebrating the club’s three points, fans online were more than happy to share their thoughts about him and his performance on the night, with many applauding him for how he bounced back after his horrific error at the weekend against Ipswich Town:

“Top attitude to bounce back with that performance”

“Love him again”
“Kept us in the game and redeemed himself for Saturday”
“Outstanding every time”
“He smashed it tonight!! Well done”
“The save from the shot at the edge of the box, think it Keane, is one of the best saves I’ve ever seen live. Was superb today”

With the club seeking promotion this season, they’re going to need a lot more decent performances throughout the season from Peacock-Farrell and the team as a whole if they are to stand any decent chance of bouncing straight back to the Championship.
