Many Celtic fans have expressed their complete dismay online after a news report suggested star striker Kyogo Furuhashi could miss a number of games due to injury.

The Japanese forward will reportedly miss at least one month – and up to seven games – after suffering a knee injury while away on international duty, according to The Scottish Sun.

Furuhashi has started his career in Scotland in absolutely stunning fashion; seven goals in nine games have quickly seen him become a fan favourite at his new club.

For that reason, when the news made it to Twitter, the frustration from the Bhoys supporters was clear for all to see.

Here’s what these Celtic fans had to say…

“Pain.”

“Oh dear, that’s the 10 in doubt.”
“Well, that’s my Friday got off to the worst imaginable start possible.”
“Cheers crying now.”
Having lost their last game to biggest rivals Rangers, Furuhashi’s possible serious injury will come as a great blow to many of the club’s supporters – as evidenced by the tweets above.

Will Celtic win the Scottish Premier League this season?

With Odsonne Edouard sold in the closing stages of the summer transfer market to Crystal Palace, the onus may now be on striker Georgios Giakoumakis, who was signed on deadline day from VVV-Venlo after scoring 26 goals in the Eredivisie last season, to hit the ground running.

Celtic fans will no doubt be hoping the Greek can make a positive start to his career in Scotland, just as his Japanese teammate did not so long ago.
