Celtic fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest comments to emerge from Hoops manager Ange Postecoglou.

This comes after the official Celtic Twitter account shared a post that contained a video of Postecoglou speaking to the club’s media after their recent 1-0 defeat against Livingston in the SPFL.

During the video, Postecoglou said that he was “disappointed” with the result and that the team’s mentality going into the game “wasn’t right” following the Hoops’ 4-3 defeat against Real Betis in the Europa League in their previous match.

This post then grabbed the attention of a number of Hoops supporters, who were not shy in airing their thoughts and feelings on what Postecoglou had to say.

So, what did these Celtic fans have to say in response to this video of Postecoglou speaking after the Livingston game?

“Mood changing now on Ange, he’s got to shape up soon or it’s adios. Running out of excuses. Today was absolutely pitiful”

@godfreydanyels

“Needs sacked, totally out of his depth.”

@brian_yojimbo

“Out his depth. Needs to go”

@pettyboy41

“No excuses. Simply unacceptable and the buck stops with the manager.”

@PaddyBhoy1965

“He’s getting a bit boring now…can talk the talk that’s about it”

@chazzaa88

“Another thing which really annoys me, trivial as it may seem – he looks like he isn’t in the least bit bothered. He is the picture of indifference.”

@ThomasH4nlon

Looking at the replies to this post, it seems as though these Celtic fans were not happy with what Postecoglou had to say after the Livingston defeat and how he has managed the team so far this season.

Is Ange Postecoglou the right man to manage Celtic?

Yes

Yes

No

No

Taking into account how Celtic have won three and lost three of their six opening league games of the campaign so far, it’s easy to see why these fans may not be completely convinced that Postecoglou is the right man to lead the club.

Given how Celtic had 79% of possession and more than double the number of shots at goal than Livingston at the weekend, this, in our view, should be a positive they can take from the game. Hopefully, the team will be able to be more clinical in front of goal moving forward – or concerns over Postecoglou may continue.
