A number of Celtic supporters have flocked to Twitter after some images appeared to reveal Kyogo Furuhashi’s return to fitness.

Having suffered a knee injury while away on international duty, the Japanese international has missed the Bhoys’ last three games. His presence seems to have been missed, with Celtic recording losses against Real Betis in the Europa League and Livingston in the Scottish Premiership during this time.

However, when the club’s official Twitter account shared pictures from a recent training ground session, eagle-eyed fans spotted the 26-year-old in the background taking part.

“Cheeky Kyogo at the back there.”

“Let’s go.”

“The goat returns.”

Considering the striker has seven goals in nine appearances since joining in the summer, it’s easy to understand why these fans are so happy to see him training with their team again.

Having missed a number of games – which have left Celtic languishing in sixth place in the league as a consequence – Kyogo will likely be desperate to return to full fitness as soon as possible.

With Odsonne Edouard sold in the summer, it does feel as if the pressure really is on the 26-year-old to provide the goals this season.
