Lots of Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to vent their fury with the performance of Albian Ajeti in their Scottish League Cup game against Raith Rovers on Thursday night.

The Hoops took a two-goal advantage into the break at Parkhead thanks to goals from Jota and Liel Abada with a place in the semi-finals up for grabs.

Is Ajeti good enough for Celtic?

The Swiss forward started the game against the Scottish Championship outfit, which marked his ninth appearance of the season under Ange Postecoglou in all competitions (via Transfermarkt).

Although the Parkhead side made light work of the opposition, it seemed not all of the players pleased the Hoops fans, with Ajeti being one of those to receive criticism on Twitter.

What did these Celtic fans have to say?

“Ajeti is a waste of a jersey”
“Ajeti a mile off it”
“Ajeti offers nothing”
“Ajeti has been completely anonymous.”
“Ajeti been poor”
“Ajeti movement is atrocious”
“Another poor performance from Ajeti.”
“Ajeti garbage again. Zero movement or influence in game”

The pressure was on Postecoglou’s side, with the Bhoys going into Thursday night’s game with just one win to their name in their previous five outings in all competitions.

Postecoglou’s side cruised into the final four of the Scottish Cup on Thursday night, but it was apparent Ajeti did not escape criticism for his 65-minute display which left a lot to be desired with these fans.
