However, moods have been swiftly dampened in Glasgow as the news of Celtic fans being allocated tickets for their away game against Real Betis which came out on Wednesday was contradicted on Friday, with the club announcing that they would no longer be receiving an allocation.

A lot of Celtic fans have reacted angrily on Twitter to this ticket news.

What have these Celtic fans been saying?

“Terrible from Betis fans travelling over there expecting to go to the game”

“What a shambles”

“Noooooooooo”

@MontielCartel

“That’s a joke allowed away fans on Wednesday and now Friday not allowed fans have booked flights and hotels”

@Christo20805012

“That’s out of order. Many fans probably booked off the back of yesterday’s news.”

@micklynch67

“Shambles of a Club. Sack the Board, back the team. Lawwell out.”

@MalkyC01

It’s a huge blow and inconvenience for Celtic fans who will have already booked flights and hotels for their match against Real Betis, especially with the decision coming from the local Spanish authorities, and not a decision made by Celtic.
