Celtic fans on Twitter have been sharing their criticism for Hoops right-back Anthony Ralston and his latest display for the Parkhead club.

After beating Ross County 3-0 in their previous SPFL fixture, Ange Postecoglou’s team were in Europa League action with a midweek clash against La Liga side Real Betis.

During the match against the Spanish club, it was Ralston’s performance, in particular, that was the centre of attention for many Celtic supporters.

Unfortunately for Ralston, it was for all the wrong reasons, with many taking to Twitter to share their thoughts on his performance.

So, what did these Celtic fans have to say about Ralston’s display against Betis?

“Ralston has been absolutely dreadful btw, done nothing on or off the ball, he’s back”

@Robert_mac88

“Ralston is absolutely slow and hopeless”

@zackobe13

“Ralston having a nightmare! Too slow for this football!”

@7govscott

“Worst ralston performance of the season”

@wyatt7777777

@Smurf5050

“100%! Ralston doesn’t look fit!”

@nevermind1888

“Ralston has been awful man he needs to get a grip”

@wan_celtic

Looking at this bunch of tweets from this group of Celtic fans, it’s clear to see that they were not impressed with Ralston’s performance against Betis.

Is Ralston good enough to play for Celtic?

Yes

Yes

No

No

Taking into account how The Scotsman gave Ralston an overall match rating of 6/10 for his display and said that he “switched off a couple of times defensively, including in the build-up to second and third goals,” it’s safe to say he has some room for improvement.

Moving forward, if Ralston gets the opportunity to improve on what he showed out on the pitch against Betis, he will have to hope that he does enough to convince Postecoglou that he has what it takes to be a regular player for the team, even though he’s played fairly regularly so far this season.
