A whole host of Tottenham Hotspur fans have reacted negatively on Twitter to Alasdair Gold’s latest tweet about the state of Spurs’ injuries during the international break.

It has been an unfortunate period for Tottenham fans and Nuno Espirito Santo, who have seen Son Heung-min, Ryan Sessegnon and Oliver Skipp all pick up injuries, and that’s before even mentioning the chaos involving Cristian Romero, Giovani Lo Celso and Davinson Sanchez with the trio still abroad, as reported by Gold.

Will Tottenham Hotspur make top four this season?

There is still one big match left to come, which may concern Spurs fans as England face Poland, where they will be hoping that Harry Kane comes through the game unscathed and ready to play on Saturday.

A lot of Spurs fans are fuming on Twitter with Gold’s injury claim.

What have these Tottenham fans been saying?

“Bin the international break.”

“Absolute joke these international breaks have been”

@grantythomas

During the summer transfer window, Spurs managed to do some smart business, bringing in the likes of Romero and Emerson Royal, but they managed to ignore areas such as the striker position and at centre-back, which has ultimately left them short after a few injuries.

Nuno will be hoping that Son’s knock is just a ‘minor injury’ as is being reported, with Tottenham looking to keep up their perfect start to the season against a Crystal Palace side that have conceded five goals in three Premier League matches, and that could be a tasty encounter for the likes of Harry Kane and Son if they are fit and ready to start.

Test your knowledge of these Tottenham players' market values! How much do you think Hugo Lloris is worth?

One of the bigger blows this international break besides Son is that of Skipp, who was subbed off during England Under-21s match against Kosovo and he has been a mainstay in the Premier League under Nuno having played 90 minutes in all three matches thus far, with him and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg seemingly striking up a stellar partnership quickly.
