A whole host of Tottenham Hotspur fans have reacted angrily on Twitter with Anthony Martial linked with a move to north London.

Despite having players such as Harry Kane, Son Heung-min, Steven Bergwijn and Lucas Moura within their squad, Tottenham Hotspur are still yet to score more than one goal in a Premier League game under Nuno Espirito Santo, which will be a huge concern as the stats also don’t lie – with Spurs bottom of the table for expected goals, with their total standing at 4.6.

Should Spurs sign Martial?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

Given their lack of goals, they may be thinking about adding some more firepower to their squad in the upcoming January transfer window, just as they were targeting another attacker over the summer – with links to Danny Ings and Lautaro Martinez emerging prior to the deadline.

Now, journalist Ekrem Konur has recently suggested that they are being linked with Manchester United’s Martial, but with just four goals in his last 26 league appearances heading into this weekend, fans aren’t impressed.

A lot of fans are furious on Twitter with this latest transfer link.

What have these Tottenham Hotspur fans had to say?

“Exactly what we don’t need, another winger with zero end product”

@zachpersell

“Goodness me why?? What has anyone seen that would warrant trying to buy that player”

@chumbamac

“Martial isn’t a player I would want. Has all the quality, but feel his attitude and lack of application will always be an issue.”

@cfht1882

“Please let Arsenal have him”

@SSpursified

“Barrel-scraping: no disrespect but I do not like his attitude”

@therealIanG

“Does the team watch him at United? He has no interest and has lost his way. We can’t reform everyone”

@codysluss93

In the same report, Konur has claimed that it is set to be Tottenham and Arsenal going head-to-head in a battle to get the French international’s signature, although that doesn’t appear to have gone down well with a lot of Spurs fans.

Spurs have had quite a few odd players over the years, but can you remember them? Here is the first one, who is this former Tottenham man?

Martial has only been handed one start and a grand total of 99 minutes for Man United this season, which could be a reason as to why he’s being linked with a move away from Old Trafford, especially following the arrival of both Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo.
