A whole host of Tottenham Hotspur fans have reacted positively on Twitter to the latest claim regarding Ryan Sessegnon.
It may well have been set up for a big season at Spurs for Sessegnon, who can play anywhere up the left-hand side, with Nuno Espirito Santo coming into the club having used wing-backs during his time at Wolves, however, the Portuguese manager has opted for a four-at-the-back formation thus far in the league.
Will Tottenham Hotspur make top four this season?
Yes
No
The main problem for Sessegnon is injuries, and the Tottenham player has suffered yet another setback having picked up a knock while on international duty with England’s Under-21 side.
While his latest injury may place doubt at least over his short-term future at Spurs, reports from Turkish outlet Fotomac (via CNN Turk) have emerged that claim he could be on the move to Fenerbahce on loan.
A lot of Tottenham fans are delighted on Twitter with this latest transfer claim.
What have these Spurs fans been saying?
“Lad needs minutes, want him to succeed but he’s part of the cursed window. Send Clarke off too.”
“Him and Clarke were 40m in total and have hardly played in the first team. The money we’ve wasted.”
“Just not good enough and the delusional Spurs fans living in the past need a wake-up call cause this guy will never cement a place in this team. On that note this should have been a sale not a loan”
“Please take him. One of the worst signings in recent years.”
“Best news in the recent days. Happy”
“Sell this flop”
The report claims that it will be a ‘rental option‘ for Sessegnon, who also spent last season away from Tottenham as he enjoyed a full campaign in the Bundesliga with Hoffenheim as he managed to remain relatively fit and healthy, racking up 29 appearances.
Another problem alongside staying injury-free for Sessegnon is that Spurs signed Sergio Reguilon from Real Madrid last summer and he appears to be the number-one choice on the left-hand side having featured in every league game under Espirito Santo, as well as 27 times in the Premier League last campaign.
