This comes after Tottenham-focused Twitter account @thespursweb shared a post on its page relaying news originally shared in a statement from the official England Football website.

Starting with a current Tottenham star. How many PL goals has Harry Kane scored for Spurs?

The statement revealed that Sessegnon has “returned to his club for further assessment after picking up a knock in training”, forcing him out of international duty for England’s U21 side.

This post then gathered a lot of replies from Tottenham supporters, who were not shy in airing their thoughts on the player and this latest news.

So, what did these Spurs fans have to say in response to this latest update about Sessegnon?

“This man is forever injured. Worse than Lamela.”

@Charlotte_cicco

“Just sell him!!!!”

@ThfcCoco

“People bang on about Ndombele being a waste of money but this fella was bought for 25 mill and has barely kicked a ball, get rid”

@gaulish10

“Beg we get rid of him, man.”

@Waydnn

“Things getting worse and worse. What is wrong with our luck”

@justinleong13

“Sell this fraud”

@heungmin_s7

Looking at the replies to this post, it’s clear to see that these Spurs fans are not too happy to hear that Sessegnon has picked up yet another injury issue.

Do you think Spurs should get rid of Ryan Sessegnon?

Yes

Yes

No

No

Given how the 21-year-old, who is currently valued at £16.2 million, has only made 14 senior appearances for the Lilywhites since he joined the club back in August 2019 for a fee of £24.3 million according to Transfermarkt, it’s easy to see why these Spurs fans think the club should cut their ties with the player, especially if his injuries are becoming a worry.

In our view, given Sessegnon’s relatively young age, it would perhaps be a bit harsh if the club were to sell him without giving him a fair shot to prove himself under Nuno Espirito Santo, however, if the injury issues persist, then this could understandably force the club into making a decision about his future before he gets a chance to prove himself.
