On Thursday afternoon, it was announced the English defender had been nominated as one of the six candidates for the Premier League Player of the Month award.

The 27-year-old defender has started all three of Tottenham’s Premier League games this season, in which the Lilywhites have managed to keep three clean sheets (via Transfermarkt).

Dier has managed to keep his place in Nuno Espirito Santo’s starting XI alongside Davinson Sanchez, despite the arrival of their new £46.7m defender, Cristian Romero.
After a couple of difficult seasons in the Premier League, it seems Dier is progressing having featured more frequently last campaign and these fans are clearly impressed by his start under Espirito Santo.
