A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to voice their thoughts at the latest news to emerge ahead of Sunday’s north London derby clash against Arsenal. 

On Monday afternoon, it was announced referee Craig Pawson will officiate the derby clash between the two north London sides at the Emirates Stadium.

As well as Pawson’s linesmen and fourth official, it was confirmed Stuart Attwell would be at Stockley Park as the VAR for the game.

Spurs fans flocked to the tweet from The Spurs Web relaying the Premier League’s announcement to share their disgruntlement at the news.

Pawson has officiated 24 Tottenham games in his career, in which the Lilywhites have won 13 times and received a red card on two occasions (via Transfermarkt).

As Spurs look to end their run of two consecutive defeats in the league, it seems this announcement ahead of their weekend clash has not filled their fans with much optimism.
