On his latest YouTube video, Tottenham Hotspur reporter Alasdair Gold has been speaking following the club’s third consecutive Premier League defeat on the weekend.

The Lilywhites have found themselves now sitting below their north London rivals, Arsenal, in the Premier League table after their devastating 3-1 defeat at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

Do you have faith in Nuno?

Yes

Yes

No

No

Spurs were able to get themselves on the scoresheet in the second half through Heung-min Son and were denied a penalty claim after a coming together between Harry Kane and Ben White in the area.

However, speaking about if there were any positives to take from the game ahead of their Europa Conference League clash on Thursday evening, Gold had the following to say on Espirito Santo’s post-match comments.

“I think, emotion aside, Sunday was just an absolute disaster. You know, even the Chelsea game we could say, first half was positive. It was at the time, I think all of us at half time were saying okay, that’s better.

“Not at Arsenal. I even asked Nuno after the game. I was like, can you take anything from that second half, any positives you can pluck from it to try and use with the players? And he said no.

“He said you can’t. He said in an analysis, you can’t take anything from that match that’s a positive, and that’s good. That’s what I want to hear, in a way.”

TIF Thoughts on Tottenham under Espirito Santo…

In comparison to the first half, which saw the Lilywhites concede three times within the opening 34 minutes, the second half will have come as a slight relief to the travelling fans.

However, it has to be questioned how much of that was down to Mikel Arteta’s side potentially taking their foot off the pedal to conserve their energy given they were so far in the lead.

It is probably for the best Espirito Santo did not list any positives following the game given the pressure mounting on him, as we don’t think it would have gone down well with the Spurs faithful.
