Tottenham Hotspur fans online have reacted with delight after Alasdair Gold has offered some insight into some of the high-level executives who work at their club.

While speaking on the Gold and Guest talk Tottenham podcast, Gold explained that managing director of football Fabio Paratici and director of technical performance Steve Hitchen are getting along very well behind the scenes at Spurs.

Tottenham Tiers quoted Gold on Twitter as saying: “Talking to various people in and around the club, Paratici has settled in very well and Hitchen is pretty popular among the players from what I can tell; the two are really, really good friends and have been for years.”

The tweet soon caught the eye of a number of the club’s supporters and they were more than ready to share their thoughts on the matter.

Here’s what these Spurs fans said…

“They’re gonna take us forward together.”

“Paratici has boosted Hitchen’s image with the fans massively. He came off really bad in the Amazon documentary.”

“The Sun in the mud again”
“My DOF”

Will Tottenham Hotspur make top four this season?

This news may come as a surprise or even relief to many Tottenham fans, as both men came into the spotlight earlier this week.

Indeed, The Sun recently claimed that Spurs players are unhappy about senior club staff – namely, Paratici and Hitchen – jumping about in the dugout during games.

However, if Gold’s report is accurate, it looks as though the two executives are getting along just fine at the north London club.

The mood should be fairly good for everyone connected to the team at the moment anyway. After all, Spurs do sit top of the Premier League table.
