Spurs have struck a deal to bring the young midfielder into the club and have loaned him back to Ligue 1 club Metz for the season.
Sarr is just 18 and Spurs have agreed a deal worth £14.6m to sign him.
Will signing Sarr prove a good move for the future?
The teenager is already a Senegal international with two caps to his name and has made 29 senior appearances for the French club.
At Metz, he has scored four goals and registered an assist, and he can play in a variety of positions, including attacking midfield, central midfield, and defensive midfield.
Spurs will be hoping that Sarr continues to play regular football in France before joining Spurs next summer.
And Roberts is excited by that prospect, telling This Is Futbol: “I’ve been reading on social media about Pape Sarr. His dad’s come out saying he can play as a No.10 or run beyond, hopefully we’ve got a world beater. That’s what we’re hoping next season when we get him back.”
