It appears that a lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have reacted negatively on Twitter to Harry Kane’s latest tweet.
After a whirlwind summer for Kane who captained England to the final of Euro 2020, all while being linked with a big-money move to the Premier League champions Manchester City, but they reportedly fell short of Spurs’ valuation by £50 million.
Will Tottenham finish in the top six this season?
On Thursday evening against Rennes, which saw Spurs succumb to a 2-2 draw in their opening match in the Europa Conference League, one slight positive from Kane’s point of view was that he has now made the most appearances in Europe of anyone in the club’s history, but following a poor result, it hasn’t gone down well with Tottenham fans.
Kane tweeted about his accomplishment, but it appears to have not gone down well with a certain section of the supporters:
What have Tottenham fans been saying?
“Mate sorry to mention that I am slowly lossing my hope and faith on you. Could you please step up. Always lost in big games..”
“Maybe start looking interested then.”
“Loads to improve, there’s an understatement”
“Doesn’t want to be there! Awful”
“Absolutely rubbish performance”
“Loads to improve on” doesnt fill me full of confidence. For gods sake.”
Kane is still yet to get off the mark in the Premier League having featured in three of the four opening matches and Spurs fans will be hoping that he can find the form that saw him smash in 23 goals and register 14 assists in the league last campaign.
It was a promising start to life under Nuno Espirito Santo for Spurs with three wins from three in the league, including an opening weekend victory over Man City but following a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Crystal Palace and a draw away to Rennes, the tide may be turning already.
