Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have been sharing their criticism for Lilywhites midfielder Giovani Lo Celso and his latest performance for the north London club.

After picking up their first defeat of the season with a disappointing 3-0 defeat against Crystal Palace, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side took on their London rivals Chelsea at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

During the first half of the match against Chelsea, Lo Celso’s display, in particular, caught the attention of a number of Tottenham supporters, but for all the wrong reasons, resulting in many of them taking to Twitter to share their thoughts and opinions.

So, what did these Spurs fans have to say about – first-half performance against Chelsea?

“Lo Celso STINKS”

@Bonfield

“Kane Lo Celso Alli Regiloon passengers so far. poor”

@philip_thfc

“i don’t know why lo celso is so far forward surely should swap with dele?”

@SteffiCubs

“We’d probably be better off without Lo Celso”

@freemo29

“Lo Celso is baffling.”

@IamSpurs

“Lo Celso is having a mare”

@SpursyAmerican

Looking at these tweets from this group of Spurs supporters, it’s clear that they were not happy with what they saw from the Argentine during the first half against Chelsea.

Is Lo Celso good enough to start for Spurs?

Yes

Yes

No

No

However, given how the midfielder has only recently returned to the country after training in Croatia for the past ten days to avoid spending the same period in a UK quarantine hotel, perhaps he should be cut some slack on this occasion.

Moving forward, Lo Celso and everyone else at the club will definitely be hoping that he can put in a better shift during the second half of the game than he did in the first, or else he could potentially find himself on the end of even more criticism.
