Plenty of Tottenham Hotspur fans have been left relieved after they received an update on the fitness of Son Heung-min.
The South Korean is believed to be a doubt for Spurs’ upcoming Premier League fixture against Crystal Palace. The winger sustained a calf injury while playing for his country on international duty and subsequently flew back to London early so he could receive treatment.
However, according to South Korean football journalist Sungmo Lee, the 29-year-old looked well when spotted at the airport and the injury is not believed to be serious.
He wrote: “Son looked OK at the airport for his flight back to UK. No KFA official comment on his injury, but it is being said “it’s not serious”.”
The Spurs Web shared the news to their followers and it quickly caused a ripple within the online section of their fanbase.
Here’s what these Tottenham fans said
“Hope it’s true bossman.”
While Son may not end up being fit enough to play against Palace, it’s clear to see just how relieved these supporters are to hear that their star man has a chance of featuring and isn’t seriously injured.
