Newcastle United fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest injury news to emerge concerning the Toon and their upcoming Premier League clash against Watford.
This comes after the official Newcastle Twitter account shared a post on its page relaying comments made by Toon manager Steve Bruce in his recent press conference ahead of their match against the Hornets at Vicarage Road.
In the press conference, Bruce said that Joe Willock had picked up an injury in training, while Jamaal Lascelles hurt his thigh during their 1-1 draw against Leeds United, and the duo will therefore not be available to play against Watford.
This post then grabbed the attention of lots of Toon supporters, who were not shy in sharing their displeasure at the news.
So, what did these Newcastle fans have to say in response to this update from Bruce?
“Bruce’s fitness staff are a joke. Every club he’s at there is injury after injury”
“Absolute shambles, man”
“Something seriously wrong with whatever Bruce does in training. Every club he’s been at gets hammered with injuries”
Looking at the replies to this post, it’s clear to see that these Newcastle fans are not pleased to hear about these two latest injuries to Lascelles and Willock.
Taking into account how Newcastle are yet to secure their first win of the season in the Premier League and that they also have striker Callum Wilson out injured, it’s understandable why these fans may not be too happy with the situation their team are in right now as they prepare to face Watford.
Are you confident Newcastle will beat Watford?
Moving forward, the best thing the Newcastle fans can hope for would be if Bruce can make the best use of the players he has at his disposal to try and get their first win of the season against the Hornets and hope the injured players can recover as soon as possible.
