Newcastle United fans have reacted with rage after Steve Bruce was said to have been left ‘angry and frustrated’ by the club’s lack of activity in the transfer market.
An article in The Telegraph explained how the Magpies’ failed transfer deadline day pursuits of Hamza Choudhury and Boubacar Kamara will have left Bruce unhappy with club owner Mike Ashley.
The story explains how the club would not meet the loan fee that was demanded for the Leicester City midfielder, while Kamara was ultimately reluctant to join the club.
The article, which portrayed Bruce as an exasperated figure, was shared on Twitter and it soon drew an unsympathetic response from a number of Magpies fans.
Here’s what these Newcastle fans said…
“He hasn’t got the minerals to ask questions! Been praising them for Willock deal. He should have been banging the door down all summer.”
It’s clear to see that these Newcastle supporters don’t have much sympathy for their manager. Earlier on in the summer, Bruce reportedly praised Ashley for going “above and beyond” to help him sign Joe Willock from Arsenal.
Perhaps it is actions such as that which have left the club’s fans wary of Bruce’s supposed unhappiness. Either way, it doesn’t seem as if there are many who are satisfied with the Magpies’ business this summer.
