Plenty of Newcastle United fans have been left rather excited after rumours of Eddie Howe becoming the club’s new manager began to heat up.
Indeed, a report in Chronicle Live outlined how the former Bournemouth manager is now being backed by punters to become the new Magpies manager.
Of course, Steve Bruce still remains very much in charge of the club, but after the 1-1 draw with Leeds United over the weekend, Newcastle are still yet to win a league game this season.
The Chronicle shared the information on its Twitter feed and many supporters happily had their say on the reports.
Here’s what these Newcastle fans said…
“He would be a massive upgrade on this clown.”
Howe certainly comes with proven Premier League experience, having taken charge of Bournemouth for 190 matches in England’s top flight.
Will Steve Bruce still be Newcastle manager by the end of October?
Yes
No
Unfortunately, however, he left the Cherries after suffering relegation in the 2019/20 season. Still, with the likes of Callum Wilson and Ryan Fraser formerly playing under the English manager, if Steve Bruce does leave Newcastle, Howe could make an ideal replacement.
