A lot of Newcastle United fans have taken to Twitter to vent their anger at the latest claims to emerge following the summer transfer window.
According to The Telegraph, the Toon had been offered a host of players on loan this summer, with Hamza Choudhury, Axel Tuanzebe and Harry Winks just some on the reported long list.
Will NUFC survive the drop this season?
Yes
No
However, the report suggests the Tyneside club were unwilling to pay the loan fee required by the clubs of the players offered, with the hierarchy stating the club could not afford to do so.
Newcastle fans flocked to a tweet from NUFC360 relaying the claim to emerge from The Telegraph to share their frustrations with the board over their reported lack of funds.
What exactly did these Toon fans have to say?
“Absolutely shocking! This is why I moan about them!”
Over the course of the summer window, the Toon were only able to bring in Joe Willock on a permanent basis, with 19-year-old Santiago Munoz joining the youth setup on an initial loan deal.
Having taken just one point from their opening three Premier League games, it is apparent this claim has not boosted the spirits of these Newcastle fans, who have been left furious with the Toon’s board.
